Wolves are some of the most magnificent wild animals to be found in North America, and in recent times, people have been trying to bring them into their lives by breeding wolf-dog hybrids as pets. However, many people that end up with one of these beautiful animals sadly don’t understand the amount of work involved in caring for them! As a result, too many of them are turned out onto the streets to fend for themselves. It’s a tragedy, but luckily there are animal rescue teams like the California-based Hope for Paws to turn these sad stories into happy ones!
An American wolf-dog in Los Angeles
One sunny morning, a woman was walking through her neighborhood in Los Angeles when she saw a disheveled-looking dog making its way down the street. She assumed it was homeless, but didn’t know how to handle the situation herself! She snapped a quick photo, and texted it to the local rescue group Hope for Paws. They could immediately tell that the dog was sick and in need of attention, but they also noticed something the woman hadn’t. This was no ordinary dog, it was a wolf-dog hybrid!
